Heather P. Harrison

Ms. Harrison joined the Law Office of Vincent Toomey in January of 2018 as a Senior Counsel and became a partner in 2021. Prior to joining the firm, she spent ten years at Farrell Fritz, P.C. as a Senior Labor and Employment Counsel. Ms. Harrison is a 2004 graduate of St. John’s University School of Law. She has been active throughout her career with the New York State Women’s Bar and Labor & Employment committees.

Ms. Harrison advises private and public sector employers on a multitude of issues, including sexual harassment, wage and hour matters, hiring, disciplinary and discharge processes, family and medical leave policies and employee handbooks. She practices extensively in state and federal court and handles matters before various agencies, including the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights and the Public Employees’ Relations Board. She also conducts collective bargaining on behalf of firm clients. Ms. Harrison is a frequent lecturer on sexual harassment and workplace violence and regularly provides training to public and private employers.

Ms. Harrison provides pro bono legal services to various non-for-profit and charitable organizations throughout New York City and eastern Long Island.
